💡 Why Lighting Matters More Than You Think

Cannabis plants are highly light-sensitive. The intensity, spectrum, and duration of light affect everything from vegetative growth to trichome production. Get it right, and you’ll see tight internodal spacing, strong cannabinoid profiles, and robust yields. Get it wrong… and you’ll struggle with fluffy buds, stunted growth, or stress responses like herming.

🌞 Key Lighting Tips by Growth Stage

Vegetative Stage:

• Recommended PPFD: 300–600 μmol/m²/s

• Light Duration: 18–24 hours per day

• Ideal Spectrum: Blue-heavy (cooler light) promotes compact growth

Flowering Stage:

• Recommended PPFD: 700–1000 μmol/m²/s (some go as high as 1200)

• Light Duration: 12/12 light/dark cycle

• Ideal Spectrum: Red-heavy (warmer light) boosts flower development

🚨 Be careful: Overdoing intensity without proper CO₂ and nutrients can stall growth.

Uneven lighting = uneven bud development.
